2004-12-26 Maldives Tsunami
In the morning of December 26th, 2004 I was flying for Maldivian Air Taxi in a DHC6 Twin Otter when unbeknownst to me the earthquake in Banda Aceh, Indonesia shook the Indian Ocean. A Tsunami set west to the Maldives. it took 3 hours but there was no warming. I was returning to Male’ when the waves his. Here are the photos I took after the devastation.
